Highlights of South Limburg
In this tour we will discover the western part of the South Limburgian ‘Heuvelland’ (literally: hill country), just to the east of Maastricht. Among other things we will visit the baroque Chateau Sint-Gerlach, the impressive American World War II Cemetery in Margraten and the only hill castle in the Netherlands: the Castleruin of Valkenburg.
During this tour we we wil also explore the typical South Limburgian landscape with its half-timbered farms and houses, brooks, castles and wayside crosses.
